Rakhi Purnima

The festival of Raksha Bandhan is referred to as Rakhi Purnima as it falls on a full moon day in the Shravan month. The word 'Rakhi' symbolizes the bond of love and protection between a brother and sister while 'Purnima' means a full moon day. On this day, a sister ties a rakhi around the wrist of her brother in order to pray for his prosperity, health and well-being. The brother in return offers a gifts and promises to protect his sister from any harm and under every circumstance. Bharat Mata Pujon

Tarapur Seva Bharti Seva Udyog has been celebrating Bharatmata on 7th November every year.Various programs are also organized in this festival. Time has come to realize how important Bharatmata Pujan is in present times. Abanindranath Tagore's Bharatmata image is currently installed here in Vigraha form. Nandalal Basu in a conversation with Dr. Panchanan Mandal said, “The first famous film Avnibabu finished there was “Bangamata” (1902). This "Bangamatai" became Bharatmata in 1905. Nivedita was the role model for Roopabayab in Bharatmata. Again the transition of "Bangamata" to "Bharatmata" is the initiative of Nivedita. In the development of Indian nationalism, Bharatmata Chitrakhani became a symbol of nationalism in subjugated India. For various reasons all Indians collectively held up Abanindranath Tagore's painting of Bharatmata Chitrakhani as the only nationalistic symbol of subjugated India during the various agitations. Bharatmata Vigraha has all the characteristics of India. For example, in the image, Bharata Mata is holding the Vedas, rice husks, chanting garlands and wearing white clothes in her four hands. Due to this form, this image easily symbolizes the Indian civilization and cultural heritage of the people of India. At present we pray to make all our selves more pure by worshiping Adhisthita Chaturbhuja Bagdevi, Parambrahma Om and Bharatmata Puja.
